1-2 packages of medium Italian sausage
1 package of bacon (naturally smoked flavour)
1 medium onion (finely chopped)
1 large green pepper (chopped)
1 large yellow pepper (chopped)
3 stalks of celery (chopped)
10 mushrooms (sliced)
2 tablespoons of cajun seasoning (Club House brand)
2 cups of ready-to-serve rice (when preparing the rice, make sure it’s enough to serve at least four people)
Mix the Italian sausage and bacon together over medium heat in a frying pan.
When browned, drain excess grease.
Prepare rice while cooking the meat.
In large sauce pan, begin to soften the onions, celery, yellow peppers and green peppers.
Add browned meat and continue to cook over medium heat until onions are clear.
Add mushrooms and continue to stir while adding the cajun seasoning.
Add salt to taste and mix.
Add ready-to-serve rice and mix well.
