There were 439 sales reported in areas 1-5 in Saskatoon during the month of April, an increase of 8% from the 406 sales reported in April 2012. This is an increase of 20% from last month which had 366 reported sales. Areas 6-9, which includes the area and communities surrounding Saskatoon, had 117 reported sales, an increase of 13% from the same period last year. This is an increase of 3% from last month when there was 114 reported sales.
The average selling price of a home in areas 1-5 rose 3% from last April to $353,315. Areas 6-9 saw an increase of 9%, with the average selling price of a home being $327,062.
There were 751 homes listed for sale in Saskatoon during the month, an increase of 3% from last April when 728 homes were listed for sale in the city. This brings the total number of active listings to 1,182. The surrounding area had 294 new listings, an increase of 12% from the 263 homes listed during last year's period, to bring the total number of active listings to 917.
There are currently 620 licensed Realtors with the Saskatoon Region Association of Realtors, an increase of 6% from last year when there were 583 licensed agents in the region.
