There were 463 reported sales in areas 1-5 of Saskatoon during July, an increase of 6% from the 435 reported sales during June 2012. This is a decrease of 2% from last month which saw 473 reported sales. Areas 6-9, which includes acreages as well as the communities surrounding Saskatoon, reported 132 sales during the month, an increase of 21% from last year when there were 109 sales during the same period. This also represents an increase of 12% from last month during which these areas had 118 sales.
The average selling price of a home in areas 1-5 was $341,866 in July, an increase of 3% from last year. Homes sold for an average of $290,240 in areas 6-9, down 6% from the previous year's period.
There were 784 homes listed for sale in Saskatoon during the month, up 12% from last year when there were 697 new listings during July. This brings the current number of active listings in the city to 1,338. Areas 6-9 saw 273 new listings appear on the market, an increase of 16% from July 2012 when there were 235 . There are currently 1,057 homes listed for sale in areas 6-9.
There are currently 607 licensed Realtors with the Saskatoon Regional Association of Realtors, a slight increase of 1% from last July when there were 599.
