There were 473 reported sales in areas 1-5 of Saskatoon during the month of June, an increase of 8% from June 2012, which saw 436 sales. This represents an increase of 11% from last month when there were 428 reported sales. Areas 6-9, which include the communities surrounding Saskatoon as well as acreages, reported 118 sales during the period, an increase of 16% from last year when there were 102 sales, and a slight increase of two sales from last month which had 116.
The average selling price of a home in areas 1-5 during June was $348,328, an increase of 5% from June 2012. Areas 6-9 saw homes sell for an average price of $297,790, an increase of 4% from the same period last year.
There were 750 new homes listed for sale in Saskatoon during the month, up 5% from last year when there were 717 new listings in June. This brings the total number of active residential listings in areas 1-5 to 1,316. Areas 6-9 saw a large increase this year as well, with 303 homes listed for sale during the month, an increase of 27% from last June's 239. The current number of active listings in areas 6-9 is 1,316.
There are currently 608 licensed Realtors with the Saskatoon Regional Association of Realtors, an increase of 3% from last June when there were 590.
