There were 383 reported sales in areas 1-5 of Saskatoon during March, an increase of 11% from last year when there were 344 sales reported during the month. This represents an increase of 28% from last month which had 300 sales. Areas 6-9, which include acreages and the towns and communities surrounding Saskatoon, reported 111 sales in March, down 3% from last year when there were 114 sales during the period. This is an increase of 46% from last month, which saw only 76 sales.
The average selling price of a home in Saskatoon was $354,084 during March, up 5% from last year. The average price in areas 6-9 dropped 2% from March of last year to $316,761.
There were 769 homes listed for sale in Saskatoon during the month, a sizable increase of 25% from last March when there were only 613 new listings to hit the market. Areas 6-9 saw 269 new listings, an increase of 14% from the same month last year when 237 properties were listed.
