There were 493 sales reported in areas 1-5 of Saskatoon during May, an increase of 16% from last year when they were 425 sales reported during the month. This represents an increase of 9% from last month, which had 452 reported sales during the month. Areas 6-9, which includes acreages as well as the communities surrounding Saskatoon, reported 158 sales during May, an increase of 36% from last year when there were only 116. This is up 25% from April, which saw 126 confirmed deals.
The average selling price of a home in Saskatoon rose less than 1% over last May to $356,843. The average selling price of a home in areas 6-9 dropped 2% from last year to $298,380.
There were 945 homes that hit the market for sale during May, an increase of 5% from last year when there were 897 new listings during the month. Areas 6-9 saw 358 new listings come up, an increase of 9% from last May when there were 328 homes listed for sale.
