There were 375 reported sales in areas 1-5 of Saskatoon during October, an increase of 12% over last year when there were 335 sales reported during the month. This is an increase of 4% from last month when there were 359 sales. Areas 6-9, which includes acreages as well as towns and communities surrounding Saskatoon, reported 113 sales during the month, an increase of 20% from last year when there 94 sales during the same period. This represents an increase of 38% from September when there were only 82 reported sales in those areas.
The average selling price of a home in areas 1-5 rose 3% from last year to $345,928. Areas 6-9 had an average selling price of $296,305 during the period, a slight decrease of 1% from last year.
There were 703 new homes listed for sale in Saskatoon during October, an increase of 18% from last year when there were 598 new properties listed. There are currently 1,334 homes listed for sale in Saskatoon. Areas 6-9 had 243 new listings during the month, an increase of 28% from October 2012 when there were 190 new homes listed.
There are currently 625 licensed Realtors with the Saskatoon Regional Association of Realtors, up from the 601 Realtors that were registered in the region last year.
