Adelaide/Churchill is a neighbourhood found in south-central Saskatoon. Originally Adelaide Park and Churchill were two separate neighbourhoods; however, became a combined neighbourhood in the 1990s. There are two very distinct feels to this neighbourhood. The first phase of the neighbourhood development began shortly after World War II, you will notice a traditional grid pattern street design. The second phase development continued in the 1950s, a new residential design was introduced, curving residential streets into crescents off of the main arterial roads.
For shopping and businesses, Churchill Shopping Centre, built in 1957 and recognized as Saskatoon's oldest strip mall, offers a grocery store, convenience store, dry cleaner, pizza shop and other businesses. As well, you can enjoy J. S. Wood Library and the outdoor public swimming pool, Lathey Pool.
