The neighbourhood of Haultain in located in south-central Saskatoon and was developed between 1946 and 1960. Haultain had its own school which opened in 1924; however, was closed in the early 1990s. The Francophone school board purchased the school, now known as École canadienne-française, serves as an elementary school for Kindergarten to grade seven. This family friendly neighbourhood allows its residents to enjoy the many playgrounds, sports fields and other amenities among the beautiful parks.
Haultain has some commercial and retail space, although not enough to detract from the residential feel of the neighbourhood. Other amenities people can enjoy include J.S. Wood Library and Lathey Pool, an outdoor pool with a waterslide, open during the summer months.
