In Lawson Heights, Saskatoon you can enjoy lovely views of the Meewasin Park, which has a backdrop of the South Saskatchewan River. Lawson Heights is part of the Lawson Suburban Development Area. Most of the homes were built between 1970 and 1980. This neighbourhood was named for the settler Reverend Stephen George Lawson. If you like to stay active, you’ll have plenty to do in Lawson Heights as this neighbourhood is home to the Lawson Civic Centre, which offers fitness equipment, an indoor playground, an outdoor park and numerous pools, including a wave pool. The centre also features Rusty MacDonald Library. Sharing the parking lot with the Lawson Civic Centre is the Saskatoon Kinsmen/Henk Ruys Soccer Centre. This facility is home to four indoor tile soccer fields which are also used for ball hockey, ultimate frisbee and other events.


There are several retail, restaurant and business services available in the many strip malls in the neighbourhood. The Mall at Lawson Heights offers the greatest selection; grocery, retail, food services, a dental office and much more.
