In the middle of Saskatoon, you will find the vibrant residential neighbourhood of Nutana. Nutana is Saskatoon's oldest neighbourhood. Founded in 1883, it started as a small colony and has now grown into the diverse modern-day city we know as Saskatoon. Nutana showcases many historical landmarks; The Marr Residence, Trounce House, Garrison House, Victoria School, Bell House, Nutana Collegiate, Fire Hall #3, Thirteenth Street Terrace, Arrand Block, Farnam Block, Calder House, Sommerville/Petitt House, Gustin Residence, F.P. Martin House, Grace-Westminster United Church, St. Joseph Catholic Church, Main Street Electrical Substation, Davis Dairy Building and The Broadway Theatre. Each of these preserved buildings have so much history.

Modern-day Nutana is busy and exciting. Broadway Avenue is home to many unique independent businesses supported by The Broadway Business Improvement District. This pedestrian-friendly neighbourhood offers a variety of entertainment venues, restaurants, coffee shops, artisan galleries, bakeries, butcher shops, yoga studios and retailers. During the summer months, you can enjoy the Broadway Art Encounter (June), Saskatoon Fringe Theatre Festival (August), Broadway Street Fair (September) and Flicks International Film Festival For Young People (September).

The geographical location of Nutana lends itself to the natural beauty of the South Saskatchewan River. You can easily enjoy the picturesque view; join a running clinic, walk your dog, lazily bike along the well-maintained paths along the the river. Nutana is just a walk across the Broadway Bridge to enjoy the amenities of Downtown Saskatoon and a short jaunt to the University of Saskatchewan. It is most certainly one of Saskatoon’s most prestigious and desirable neighbourhoods.
