Since 2007 the new and upcoming neighbourhood of Rosewood has seen significant changes. What was once farmed land has since been transformed into a neighbourhood in southeast Saskatoon. Boychuck Construction was the initial lead developer; prepared land, provided infrastructure for water, power, sewage and other required services. Since then other local builders have been busy buying residential lots and building houses. The anticipated completion of this neighbourhood is approximately 10 to 15 years from now.

Since Rosewood is in its infancy for building and development, many retail services can be found nearby in the Lakewood Suburban Centre, The Centre Mall on 8th Street, College Park Mall on the corner of 8th Street and McKercher Drive and other strip malls that line the far eastern end of 8th Street. As well you can find a Walmart Supercentre at Stonegate Centre which is full of "box" stores and other services

Recreational facilities are close by; Wildwood Golf Course, Lakewood Civic Centre, Lakewood Indoor Tennis Centre, Greenbryre Golf and Country Club and much more.
