You will find the neighbourhood of Silverspring on the east side of the South Saskatchewan River, in the northeast corner of Saskatoon. Siverspring is a unique neighbourhood that backs the Saskatoon Forestry Farm and Zoo and also has a lot of preserved natural green space. It is not uncommon to find deer and other animals within this preserved habitat wandering around. Residential construction began in the late 1980s with most construction happening during the 1990s.

Silverspring does not have amenities within the neighbourhood, however there are many services near by; Preston Crossing has a Walmart, Cabela's, Old Navy, Michaels, Future Shop, Sobeys, Canadian Tire and Co-op Gas Bar, as well as other retail and restaurant options. Additional retail and other services can be found along Attridge Drive and Ludlow Street. You will find several financial institutions, restaurants, medical, dental and chiropractic offices; pharmacies and much more.

For those who are interested in recreational options there are many nearby. The Saskatoon Soccer Centre is only a few minutes away and has an indoor track and circuit fitness. The Saskatoon Forestry Farm and Zoo is a great spot to enjoy fishing for Steelhead Trout or spend the day observing animals. As well, there is an off-leash dog park along the riverbanks of the South Saskatchewan River.
