In the Core Neighbourhoods Suburban Development Area, located in the middle of Saskatoon, you’ll find the inner city neighbourhood of Westmount. Most homes were built prior to 1960. This community has a long history dating back to the late 1800s. Westmount was once an independent settlement; however, incorporated into Saskatoon's city limits in 1906. Westmount is considered a core neighbourhood in Saskatoon which has made the neighbourhood a recipient for funding programs to create affordable housing and community economic initiatives.

Most of this area is residential, but you’ll find some businesses on 22nd Street. You also have four parks for outdoor fun, including the 21-acre Pierre Radisson Park, the 15-acre Scott Park and the 13-acre Leif Erickson Park, as well as the small Westmount Park which feature walking paths, sporting fields and playoungs. You also have a community association that plans activities for residents.
